About the Ferrari 456GT
Ferrari’s new 456GT was introduced in 1992 at the 40th anniversary celebrations of Garage Francorchamps in Brussels, Belgium, and it was the latest in a long line of four seater V12 Gran Turismo cars, which had started nearly 40 years earlier with the 250 GTE. It featured an all-new 65 degree V12 engine that provided 442 horsepower, a large increase in performance over the outgoing 412 engine. This engine, combined with an all-new 6 speed transmission and elegant Pininfarina styling, made the 456GT the ideal Gentleman’s sportscar.
The 456 GT was capable of reaching speeds in excess of 300 km/h and 0-100 in 5,2 seconds, which made it the fastest and most exclusive 4 seater car in the world. The 456 was wonderfully appointed with a luxurious full leather interior and gorgeous classic instruments, a modern interpretation of the classic Ferrari GT interior.
About this specific example:
Upon leaving the gates of Maranello, this Ferrari 456GT was registered on 30 september 1997 as the demonstrator car of Autohaus Blöchl, the Ferrari dealer for south-east Germany. The car was then exported to Monaco in 1998. The current owner, a well known Ferrari collector and founder of the Ferrari Club Nederland, purchased the car from the Ferrari dealer of Juan-Les-Pins in 2001, to be used as a car for his holiday home in the South of France. The Ferrari has remained in his possession ever since and maintains its French registration from 2001. The car is in perfect condition both cosmetically and technically and comes complete with the original owners handbooks and service manuals and various invoices for service carried out.
The car received the last service in 2017 and is ready to be driven and enjoyed.
